    Teacher killed for guns, arrowheads

    Posted on July 31, 2015

Robbery appears to be the motive behind the June shooting death of longtime educator Shelly Strickland, whose nephew, Garrett Arrowood, 26, has been charged with the crime.

Weapons and arrowheads were among the items stolen during the armed burglary and Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) Capt. Ron Rice said investigators “don’t believe we have recovered all the property. If anyone has obtained any property that has a nexus which can be linked back to them, please contact our investigations office at (850) 838-3505.”
