When Taylor County cancer survivors gather Monday evening, April 29, for the annual reception given in their honor, two very special guests will be recognized—Beverly Parker and Marilyn Johnson, the 2013 Relay For Life Honorary Chairs.

Monday’s celebration is the official kick-off for Taylor County’s Relay season, leading up to the big event May 17-18 at the high school track.

“We encourage all cancer survivors and their families to attend,” Relay Event Chair Tanya O’Neal said.

The free reception will be held at Crosspoint Baptist Church (920 Courtney Road), starting at 6 p.m.
