Forest Festival turns 60 in style

Taking a trip “Back to Our Roots,” the 60th annual Florida Forest Festival was a mixture of old favorites and new traditions.

The month-long celebration of the forestry industry culminated this past Saturday when thousands of people converged on Forest Capital State Park to watch lumberjack shows and saw competitions, listen to music, browse arts and crafts, marvel at the classic cars and heavy equipment or simply enjoy a free fish dinner.
