What role did Whiddons play in Strickland’s 2015 murder?

Investigators determined that Rodney Whiddon and his son, Manden, were involved in the June 2015 shooting death of longtime educator Shelly Strickland when they discovered that both men attempted to sell items stolen during the armed burglary which ultimately ended with murder, according to arrest records released Wednesday.

The reports show the Whiddons were living with Strickland’s nephew, Garrett Arrowood, at the time of her death.
