Barber follows mother’s footsteps

For 2016 Taylor County High School (TCHS) Valedictorian Rebecca Barber, the journey to the top of her class was one she started the moment she stepped foot on campus as a freshman four years ago.

When Barber received the news on Monday from Principal Audie Ash–she didn’t buy into his attempt to fool her into thinking he was calling for another reason–it not only marked the culmination of a goal four years in the making, but also the continuation of a family tradition.
