Taylor braces for rain, wind, storm surge

Tropical Depression 9 is projected to head toward the Big Bend coastline and Taylor County with an expected landfall Thursday, bringing with it wind, rain and the potential of two to five feet of storm surge.

The system was forecast to strengthen into a tropical storm by late Tuesday evening and a tropical storm watch for the Taylor County coastline was expected as well.
