Louisa’s fate in hands of owner

The Louisa has become something of a fixture of Steinhatchee’s riverscape during the past decade or so, but Hurricane Hermine left the massive vessel grounded, listing and holed.

The question of what to do with the 40-ton vessel arrived at the feet of the Taylor County Commission Tuesday night, when county staff brought forth an option to seek a state grant to assist with its removal.
