Bridge lighting project moving forward

Thanks to the generosity of the Frank Jackson family, the Steinhatchee Bridge will soon be more well-lit at night, offering increased visibility for those traveling between Steinhatchee and Jena during low-light conditions.

The Frank Jackson family — through donations made to the county and Steinhatchee Community Projects Board — has donated all of the funding required to light up the two-lane stretch of 10th Street that makes up the Steinhatchee Bridge connecting Taylor County and Dixie County.
