TCDA wants DMH land to site a proposed ALF

As part of an effort to locate an assisted living facility here, the Taylor County Development Authority (TCDA) is asking county commissioners to designate up to five acres of property near Doctors’ Memorial Hospital (DMH) as a potential site for the economic development project.

At the county’s Nov. 20 meeting, County Administrator Ted Lakey brought up the subject by stating the TCDA is currently attempting to recruit an assisted living facility (ALF) to Taylor County and would like to advertise for proposals.
