    Danny Frank Glover Sr.

    Danny Frank Glover Sr., 70, died Dec. 6, 2017 in Perry, at his home surrounded by his family. Danny was born Dec. 14, 1946 in Hartford, Ala. to Louie Frank Glover and Mildred Fulford Glover.

    Danny honorably served our country in the United States Army Reserve. He was a Christian and a member of Cornerstone Community Church. Danny was a Rural Postal Carrier with the U.S. Post Office for 30 years. Previously, he was owner and operator of Glover’s Hardware in downtown Perry. Danny did all kinds of tractor work around Taylor County, helping families clear land. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and especially being on the water spending time with family. His favorite role was “PaPa”; he loved and cherished his grandchildren deeply.

    Danny was preceded in death by: his father, Louie Frank Glover.

    Mr. Glover is survived by: his wife of 35 years, Patricia Glover; his children, Darin Granthum, Heidi Metcalf (Eddie), Danny Glover Jr. (Julie), and Jessica Rudd (Raymond); his mother, Mildred Fulford Glover-Sisson; his sister, Debbie Hall (Tommy); five grandchildren, Madison Metcalf, Madden Metcalf, Callen Glover, Brady Glover, and Everette Glover; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services will be held today (Friday) Dec. 8 at 3:30 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Bro. Curt Whitfield and Bro. Wendell Rudd officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterwards in Pineview Memorial Cemetery, conducted by Bro. David Stephens. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7 at Burns Funeral Home.

    In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to SNAP (Special Needs Adult Program) c/o Taylor County School District, 318 N. Clark St., Perry, Fl. 32347. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
