‘Just Getting Started’ is a fun movie despite its many flaws

Morgan Freeman and Tommy Lee Jones are both exceptional actors who have had great careers in Hollywood making entertaining films. Freeman has 120 acting credits to his name and Jones has 82, so it’s a bit surprising they’ve never appeared in the same movie until now.

That meeting happened in “Just Getting Started,” a messy comedy that often feels as if it’s content letting the entire affair rest on the shoulders of its two stars. Fortunately, Freeman and Jones can carry a lot of cinematic weight between the two of them, and the movie is actually quite entertaining despite it’s obvious problems.
