    Kristie Turner Godwin Lawrence

    Kristie Turner Godwin Lawrence, 43, of Crawfordville, died December 19, 2017.

    She was a native and life- long resident of Wakulla County. Kristie graduated from Wakulla High School in 1993, where she excelled in most sports, but loved playing softball and received a softball scholarship to Pensacola Junior College. She was very active in the Wakulla County Swine Show Competition and had several grand champions and trophies for Showmanship. She loved animals, going to the beach, shopping and kayaking with her mom. Her greatest love and accomplishment was her daughter Brittany. Carole said, Kristie has always been the apple of my eye. She was a member of Pioneer Baptist Church.

    She is survived by: her daughter, Brittany Godwin; mother, Carole Turner; father, Charles Turner (Diana); brothers, Chuck Turner (Susan) and Dell Turner; two nephews, Landon and Roger Turner; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and four step-sisters Deidra Newman (Randy), Dana Drawdy (Sam), Dustie McRory and Dara Nix (Jeremy).

    She was predeceased by: her husband, Scott Lawrence; maternal grandparents, George and Newell Ladd; uncle, Trigger Ladd; and paternal grandparents, J.D. and Helen Turner.

    Family will receive friends today (Friday) Dec. 22, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church of Crawfordville. Funeral service will be held today (Friday) Dec. 22, at 3:30 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church of Crawfordville. Burial will immediately follow at Friendship Memorial Gardens.
