Larger crowds cited as need to expand courtroom

County Judge Bill Blue received approval from county commissioners to begin gathering engineering design plans and a cost estimate on his request to expand the second floor courtroom in the Taylor County Courthouse.

Blue appeared before commissioners at their Dec. 12 meeting to follow up on a letter he sent to the board in November requesting the space soon being vacated by the Supervisor of Elections office for what is labeled “Courtroom B” on the second floor of the courthouse.
