Mill gears up for outage

Perry and Taylor County officials, as well as many local businesses, will be gearing up for a flood of out-of-town contract workers over the next several weeks, as Georgia-Pacific’s Foley Cellulose mill is preparing for a major “cold mill outage” scheduled in late April.

The massive nine-day maintenance project is scheduled to begin April 19 and will end on April 27, 2018.
