K-9 team captures escapees

Taylor Correctional Institution’s (TCI) K-9 team is being credited for its swift action and relentless pursuit in apprehending two inmates who escaped from the work camp here Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 30.

“I just can’t say enough about the outstanding job the team did. It was just a picture-perfect example of how it is all supposed to work,” Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) Lt. Chris Folsom said Thursday. “They tracked through some of the most harsh swamp conditions you find in the county and it was the K-9 handlers who actually caught the guys.”
