Bitter cold by-passes Taylor Co.

Taylor County was just outside the winter storm warning issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Wednesday, and aside from some afternoon sleet, the county avoided the worst effects from the system, unlike many communities to the west and north.

Taylor County Emergency Management Coordinator Steve Spradley said Thursday that his office had received no reports of damage or injuries as a result of the storm.
