Scam alert is issued for utility customers

Fighting back against scammers who impersonate utility companies, the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) is warning utility customers across the state about recent scams and offering tips to avoid becoming a victim.

The agency’s latest effort is timed to coincide with National Consumer Protection Week which runs March 2-8.
