Walker no longer resource officer for high school, starting 2014-15

Starting with the 2014-15 school year, Perry Police Department (PPD) Sgt. Nellie Walker will no longer be the resource officer assigned to Taylor County High School (TCHS).

In a recent move, the school district cancelled its contract with the City of Perry for the resource officer’s position and will, instead, be negotiating with the sheriff’s office to place a deputy at the site.
