Flurry of events mark end of 2013-14 school year

The 2013-14 school year is rapidly drawing to a close and there are a number of events planned in the next few weeks.

• Friday, May 23: last day for Taylor County High School seniors.

• Tuesday, May 27: Taylor County Middle School (TCMS) Awards Night, 6 p.m.

• Monday, June 2: Head Start end-of-the-year program, TCMS auditorium, 6 p.m.

• Tuesday, June 3: Taylor County Elementary School (TCES) awards program, starts at 8 a.m. (grades staggered throughout the morning).

• Wednesday, June 4: last day for students; TCHS Baccalaureate services, First Baptist Church, 7 p.m.

• Thursday, June 5: TCES 5th grade graduation, 6 p.m.

• Friday, June 6: last day for teachers; Taylor Technical Institute (TTI) graduation at TCHS gymnatorium, 7 p.m.

• Saturday, June 7, TCHS graduation, Dorsett Stadium, 8:30 a.m.
