Donating history

Auley and Patricia Rowell were set to complete their donation of Rosehead Spring (in Folsom Park) to the City of Perry Tuesday, Dec. 30. The city also reached a deal with the couple to purchase several small lots adjacent to Rosehead Park for an upcoming lake project. According to local histories, Taylor County’s first settlers camped at the spring prior to the city’s establishment.
