Jobless rate hits 6.9% low

Taylor County’s unemployment rate finished 2014 with its second lowest rate of the year at 6.9 percent.

This was a drop from the 7.3 perfect recorded in November and tied with October and May. The county’s unemployment rate hit a six-year low in April at 6.5 percent.
