Police chief retiring

Perry Police Chief Vern Clark will retire in mid- February and, as with all jobs within the city, the position has been advertised first “in-house.”

“We posted the job and have had two applicants. They will be interviewed and if one is determined to fit the needs of the police department, will be offered the position,” City Manager Bob Brown said.
