Taylor County Fire-Rescue received 14 automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) this week which will be installed into all of its response vehicles throughout the county, including at volunteer stations.

“Our volunteers sometimes arrive at a scene before the ambulance and they can provide care and hopefully save a life,” Fire Chief Dan Cassel said, noting that all of Fire-Rescue’s career firefighters and volunteers are trained in CPR and the use of an AED.
