Rains, wind batter county

A storm front moved through the area Wednesday night, bringing with it heavy rain and high winds gusting to nearly 40 mph.

Numerous residents reported multiple power outages Wednesday evening as the storm made its way over Taylor County, dropping more than two inches of rain in some areas and leaving snapped limbs and at least one downed tree as well.
