‘Below normal’ hurricane season expected

With the 2015 Atlantic Hurricane Season set to begin Monday, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Climate Prediction Center is forecasting a below-normal year for tropical activity.

But local and national officials are warning the forecast is not an excuse to be unprepared.
