City wants signs posted identifying predators

Although registered sexual predators are listed on a state-maintained database, the Perry City Council is looking to make identifying them one step easier by having signs posted in their yards.

“I’ve seen it done in other communities and I’d like to see us post signs in front of homes where (registered) sexual predators live. It would affect one person in the city and that individual lives in my district,” Mayor Daryll Gunter said in bringing the proposal to the council.
