The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flood warning for the Econfina River near Perry.
As of 8 a.m. Monday, the river was at its flood stage of 11 feet. According to the forecast, the river is expected to slowly rise to near 11.2 feet by Tuesday morning.
“All persons with interest along the river should monitor the latest forecasts…and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect life and property,” the advisory stated. “Do not drive cars through flooded areas. If you see flood waters…remember to turn around and do not drown.”
