School grades fall; first ‘F’ since 1999

With school grades falling precipitously across the state this year, Taylor County was not immune, with Steinhatchee School earning the district’s first “F” grade since 1999.

The Florida Department of Education (DOE) on Friday released school grades for elementary and middle schools, with Taylor County Middle School (TCMS) earning a “C,” Taylor County Elementary School (TCES) earning a “D” and Steinhatchee School earning an “F.”
