Showing support for Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Purple (magnetic) ribbons have been placed on Perry Police Department patrol cars in recognition of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Above, Capt. Jamie Cruse (who made sure to wear a purple shirt in support of the initiative) joined City Manager Bob Brown, Ptl. Bruce Griffin, Refuge House Director Debra McGrew and Cynthia Monroe-Harris in displaying the ribbons placed on the vehicles. Refuge House will host a luncheon in honor of domestic violence survivors Wednesday at Sandy’s Cafe & Gallery.
