$50,000 benchmark

The Taylor County United Way Campaign recently placed the first slice on the “Tree-Meter” at the county courthouse to mark the collection of the first $50,000 of the campaign’s $285,000 fund-raising goal. On hand to celebrate the milestone were members of Yates’ United Way team. Shown above are: (from l to r) Dick Jarvis, Ronnette Griffin, Larry Keith, Campaign Chairman Mark Wiggins, Mark Wentworth, Bry Martin and Campaign Associate Glenda Hamby (seated).

“This is a good start to our campaign,” Hamby said.

“We would like to thank Yates and the entire community whose donations have added up to help raise the first $50,000 of our campaign,” Wiggins added.
