Bentley Layne Welch is New Year’s baby

Lukas Welch and Amber Ernst decided to have a little fun with their families at the baby gender reveal party held in their honor.

“It was all set up with boxes, blue for a boy and pink for a girl. So we tricked them and turned over the pink box…which had ‘boy’ written on the bottom,” Ernst said.

PHOTO: New Year’s baby Brantley Layne Welch doesn’t seem too impressed with all the buzz around his Jan. 1 birth. He weighed 9 pounds, 4.2 ounces and was 20 inches long when he arrived at 12:36 a.m.
