Inaugural awards to be presented at MLK celebration

The inaugural Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK)community service awards will be presented this Sunday, Jan. 17, to two honorees who demonstrate “the same spirit of volunteerism, citizenship and activism that characterized the life of Dr. King.”

The presentation will be made during the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. commemorative celebration.

Sunday’s celebration will be held at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, starting at 6 p.m.
