The Taylor County Public Library, which has long since grown beyond offering just books and instead has become home to a wide range of community services, is once again taking another big step by offering qualified adult residents the opportunity to earn a private, accredited high school diploma and career certificate at no cost.
The library is one of 11 in Florida chosen to take part in a pilot program funded by the state. According to Library Manager Jo Ann Morgan, each library was given an allotment of scholarships and her staff is currently looking for 20 local students to take part.
