Former Perry teacher is killed in murder-suicide

Sandra M. Cook, a former Taylor County Elementary School (TCES) teacher, began the new year as a finalist for Teacher of the
Year for Brevard County, where she had taught since 2013.

The 54-year-old veteran teacher’s life came to a tragic and sudden end this week, however, when she was found dead in her Melbourne home Monday morning, the victim of an apparent murder-suicide.
