Man dies in fire at campsite

A man staying at a campsite off of Strickland Landing Boulevard died last week as the result of a fire.

According to officials with the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO), on Wednesday, Feb. 3, he “apparently attempted to use a substance to light a fire. It flashed on him.”
