The annual African-American History Month celebration will be held Saturday, Feb. 27, from 2-4 p.m. at Jerkins Community Center.
Activities will include group study, trivia, refreshments, a step show and drum line performance.
“The national theme for this year’s celebration is ‘Hallowed Grounds: Sites of African-American Memories.’ We will incorporate that theme by spotlighting national and local hallowed grounds,” Flora Woodfaulk with the African-American History Month Committee said.
