Historian to talk about 1935 hurricane

Tallahassee historian and author Thomas Neil Knowles will be the guest speaker at the Monday, March 28, meeting of the Friends of the Taylor County Public Library.

Knowles has written two nonfiction books entitled “Category Five: The 1935 Labor Day Hurricane” and “Long Key: Flager’s Island Getaway for the Rich and Famous.”

The meeting, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the library, which is located at 403 N. Washington St.
