The Taylor County High softball team finished as runner-up in the Class 4A District 1 tournament played this week in Panama City. The title was the best finish for TCHS since 1999 and qualified the Lady Bulldogs for the state regionals to be played next Thursday, April 21, in Jacksonville.
In the first game of the tournament the Lady Dogs defeated Pensacola Catholic 4-2. Dominating on the mound, senior Kenzie Parker was the winning pitcher with 12 strike-outs. Jade Miller went 2-3 with a triple, a double and an RBI. Parker went 1-3 with a double and 2 RBIs.
