Taylor County Emergency Management/CERT will hold its annual Hurricane Preparedness Event Thursday, April 28, in the Taylor County High School gymnatorium from 5-7 p.m.
WCTV’s Mike McCall will do several live broadcasts from the event and presentations on hurricane/ weather preparedness.
“Forestry, fire, sheriff, EMS, DMH, Supervisor of Elections and many other agencies will be attending with loads of knowledge to help the public prepare in the case of a disaster,” organizers said.
“We have several door prizes that will be given away during the evening ranging from Woods ‘N Water subscriptions to disaster buckets. We will also showcase our 3-5 grade Steinhatchee and Perry Elementary poster winners.”
