Taylor County’s crime rate jumped 39 percent in 2015, boosted by a sharp increase in the number of aggravated assaults and larcenies compared to the previous year.
This resulted in the county falling from the 25th lowest crime rate in 2014 to the 45th lowest out of Florida’s 67 counties.
