Ellen Hill had only a heartbeat of recognition before her car crashed into another vehicle that was carrying her grandchildren in a three-vehicle accident Friday afternoon, June 10.
Hill’s car “bounced” off the rear of the car driven by Romona Parker and plowed through a wooden privacy fence before coming to a stop after sheering off the front right corner of a home on U.S. 19 North near Reddick Drive.

The impact pushed her car into a third vehicle that had pulled into the median from Reddick Drive. The car then crossed both southbound lanes of U.S. 19 before crashing into the nearby residence of a Perry Police Department officer.
