It is more than two months until the 2016 primary election, and four and a half months until the general election, but local officials are already planning for future election cycles.
The Taylor County Commission recently signed a $457,000, eight-year lease agreement for new voting equipment that will replace the county’s current, aging machines, as well as bring it into compliance with approaching federal mandates concerning equipment for voters with disabilities.
