Scallop seminar set for June 24 in Steinhatchee

The Taylor County Soil & Water Board will host its annual free Scallop Seminar this Friday, June 24, at the Steinhatchee Community Center starting at 7 p.m.

Guest speakers will include representatives from the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) discussing boating/ scalloping laws and safety; associates with the FWC Fish & Wildlife Research Institute reporting on scallop abundance surveys; and Regional Specialized Sea Grant Extension Agent Savanna Barry.

Snacks and bottle water will be provided. Admission is free.
