INVITATION TO BID
The Taylor County Board of County Commissioners is soliciting sealed proposals for construction of the Steinhatchee Boat Ramp Phase II.
Qualified firms or individuals desiring to provide the required products or services must submit five (5) packages in a sealed envelope or similar package marked “Sealed Proposal for Steinhatchee Boat Ramp Phase II” to the Clerk of Court, 1st Floor Courthouse, 108 North Jefferson Street, Suite 102, Perry, Florida 32347 or P.O. Box 620, Perry, Florida 32348, to arrive no later than 4:00 P.M., local time, on February 4, 2013. All Proposals MUST have the respondent’s name and mailing address clearly shown on the outside of the envelope or package when submitted. Proposals will be opened and respondents announced at 6:20 P.M. local time, or as soon thereafter as practical, on February 4, 2013, in the Taylor County Administrative Complex, 201 East Green Street, Perry, Florida 32347.
RFP information may be obtained from the Clerk of Court, 1st. Floor Courthouse, 108 North Jefferson Street, Suite 102, Perry, Florida 32347, (850) 838-3506. RFP information may also be downloaded on-line at http://www.taylorcountygov.com/bids/index.html.
The County reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to reject any or all Proposals, to cancel or withdraw this solicitation at any time and waive any irregularities in the RFP process. The County reserves the right to award any contract to the respondent which it deems to offer the best overall service; therefore, the County is not bound to award any contract(s) based on the lowest quoted price. The County, in its sole and absolute discretion, also reserves the right to waive any minor defects in the process and to accept the proposal deemed to be in the County’s best interest. The County, in its sole and absolute discretion, also reserves the right to assign a local business preference in an amount of five (5) percent of the proposal price pursuant to Taylor County ordinance No. 2003-12. No faxed Proposals will be accepted.

The Healthy Start Coalition of Jefferson, Madison & Taylor Counties, Inc., will hold an election for a Taylor County Representative for Maternal and Child Health. To be elected to the Board, an individual must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of Taylor County. Individuals interested in having their names placed on the ballot should contact Cindy Hutto at 850-948-2741 no later than February 15, 2013.
The Election will be held the last week of February, 2013 at the Healthy Start Coalition’s office located at: 1336 SW Grand Street, Greenville, Florida 32331. Listed below are the general duties of Board Members:
1.Sets major organizational, personnel, fiscal and program policies.
2.Determines overall program plans and priorities and evaluation of performance.
3.Final approval of all program proposals.
4. Enforcement of compliance with all conditions of State, Federal and Local grants.
The terms of office as a Board Member shall be 3 years (2013-2016). The Healthy Start Coalition of Jefferson, Madison & Taylor Counties, Inc. Board of Directors meet quarterly in Greenville, Florida.

For representatives on Doctors’ Memorial Board of Directors.
There are two (2) City-appointed positions on the Board of Directors. The City of Perry is now
accepting applications to fill these positions.
Applicants must be 18 years old or older
Applicants should:
Be a resident of Taylor County.
Be willing to spend up to 8 hours per month for meetings and workshops.
Be willing to attend all Board meetings.
Be willing to attend two weekend strategic planning sessions per year.
Applications may be obtained at the City Manager’s Office, 224 S. Jefferson Street Perry, FL 32347 or on the City’s website www.cityofperry.net or in the Administrative Office at Doctors’ Memorial Hospital (333 N. Byron Butler Parkway).

Monday, February 4, 2013, at 6:15 p.m.
To receive public input and notify the public of the possible grant application to the Federal emergency management agency hazard mitigation grant program.
The county will be required to work within the guidelines set forth by the hazard mitigation grant program for any project which may be selected for funding assistance.
All members of the public are welcome to attend.
