Padgett, Glover win top seats

The sheriff’s race dominated much of the 2016 election with half a dozen candidates stepping forward for the job.

The Primary Election whittled the field to five candidates and the race was on—voters had their say in the race Tuesday, putting former deputy and local businessman Wayne Padgett (R) in office.
