Mother, son die in fire

Estella McAllister loved her family. Her best times were spent with everyone gathered at her home on Goff Street for a cookout or dinner.

“We always gathered at her home. Every time we got together. She was sweet and fun. She will be missed,” McAllister’s sister Diane Lee, said Tuesday.

McAllister, 74, and her son Moses, 27, died in an early morning house fire Saturday, Nov. 12.
