Ready to serve

County Judge Bill Blue presided over a swearing-in ceremony Thursday, Nov. 17, for a returning county commissioner, two incoming commissioners and a local school board representative.

Incumbent commissioner (Dist. 1) Malcolm Page successfully defended his seat and began his fourth term Tuesday. Newly-elected commissioners Frank Russell (Dist. 3) and Thomas Demps (Dist. 5) also took their seats on the commission Tuesday as did newly-elected school board member Deidra Dunnell (Dist. 5).
Superintendent-elect Danny Glover Jr., Dist. 1 representative Bonnie Agner and Dist. 3 member Jeannie Mathis were sworn-in Tuesday night prior to their first official meeting.
