Taylor County’s public canals are in great need of maintenance dredging, but while that need is clear, just how the county is going to pay for it is not.
For the past several years, the Taylor County Commission has hoped to use its share of the money from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill fines imposed on British Petroleum and other companies to finance the dredging.
