Never afraid to be silly if it won him a laugh, Justin Ray Parker was his usual happy-go-lucky-self at the Florida Forest Festival in October.
He spent the day walking around the park with his grandmother and couldn’t resist teasing her about becoming a great-grandmother.
“He was so excited to be a father. He was my first grandchild and his child will be my first great-grandchild,” Sherry Goff said. “I told him how part of his fun days were over but that better fun days as a parent were coming.”
The festival was one of the final times Parker visited his family here in Perry and it was the last time Goff saw her grandson.
The 23-year-old was killed in an early-morning, one-vehicle crash Sunday, Nov. 13, in Quitman, Ga.
