Person of interest sought in grave robbery; $1,000 reward is offered

Investigators have identified a person of interest in the theft of cremated remains from the columbarium at Pineview Memorial Gardens on Johnson Stripling Road.

“If you saw anyone at the cemetery or lights at night there throughout the Thanksgiving weekend, please give us a call,” Perry Police Department (PPD) Det. Sgt. Lin Gray said.

The remains were those of Lisa Justice, who died of cancer in May 2013 at her home in Tennessee.
